This event is all about fun!

Are you interested in flying electric R/C planes, or just learning more about this fast growing hobby?   Come and see hundreds of planes and meet dozens of pilots. Previous years events have seen everything from tiny park flyers to bungee launched electric jets and huge ¼ scale planes.

This event is sure to have something for anyone interested in radio controlled planes. Please come join us!

Event Specifics

Dates:

•  Friday June 20th, Saturday June 21st, Sunday June 22nd

Times:

• Friday daylight flying from 5pm to 8:30pm. at 3M R/C Flyers Field

• Saturday daylight flying from 9am to dusk at 3M R/C Flyers Field

• Sunday daylight flying from 9am to 4pm at 3M R/C Flyers Field

Event Fees:

• Spectators: No Charge, Pilots: $10 for MARCEE members, $15 for non members.  Fees cover all days.

• Register at the event

Prizes:

• All registered pilots will be entered into a huge prize raffle held at 3 pm on Saturday.  Pilots must be present to win.

Food:

• Food will be available for purchase.  Lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday.

Event Rules

• Flyers must pay an event fee of $10 for MARCEE members, $15 for non members.  This covers the entire weekend and enters you into the prize drawings.  You must be present to win.
• Must show 2008 AMA membership card.
• Must obey all AMA & posted field rules.
• 8 Cards on the board, 6 flying.
• Must use the flight stations.
• Must remove your card and get back into the queue after each flight, no returning to the pits for new batteries or changing batteries on the flight line. (Combat periods excepted)
• Combat times are all up, last down, and any number of fliers.
• All transmitters must left in the impound unless your card is on the board.
• All pilots must announce their intentions before acting on the flight stations.  i.e. Call out loud for all to hear, COMING OUT, or TAKING OFF or HAND LAUNCHING. Call ALL landings like LANDING LEFT TO RIGHT or LANDING ON GRASS. And most important ON THE FIELD when retrieving airplane and CLEAR when leaving runway or field.
• Spotters are encouraged, but not required.
• No flying over pits, or parking areas.
• All transmitters must have owners ID on the Unit.
• All transmitters must have a frequency flag number displayed.
• All AMA rules for events apply.
• All registered pilots should be advised that we will be supplying their name and address information as a courtesy to sponsors.
• All pilots will be asked to sign up for a time to work the Impound and Flight Board at registration.
